A number of our members enjoyed a curry lunch get together in January. It was a great opportunity to some sample Indian cuisine and socialise.

About Us
Welcome to the
ANGLOPHONE ASSOCIATION OF COUTANCES (est. 1993)
We are a group of English speaking people of a variety of nationalities who like to get together to enjoy the pleasures of the Central Manche area of Normandy and to learn more about its history, culture, food and way of life. We have around 90 members most of whom live in France.
We organise regular social events, visits to places of interest and gardens in addition to sessions for those who want to improve their French/English (we have many French members). We also have a book club, dance and walking groups. Our calendar of events is shown below.
Membership is 10€ each per year.

We go for regular walks with the other members of the Anglophone association, and here are a few photos from our most recent outing.
Discovering St. Lô
Our second guided walk of 2021 with Simon Tasset, this time discovering the town of Saint Lô. Some 97% of Saint Lô was destroyed by bombing in 1944 and the architectural style of the town now reflects the overriding urgency and construction methods employed to rebuild the town as quickly as possible after the War.
